Barry John Acting Studio is aimed to spread interest and knowledge of media and theatrical arts over education under a non-profit organization, the Theatre in Education Trust. BJAS works in association with a television and film production company, Imago Media Company Pvt. Ltd. In 1997, BJAS was initially called Imago Acting School and was opened in Noida. In 2002, the Online drama for school moved to Saket, New Delhi. Producers and casting directors moved to Mumbai on request of students in 2007 where it was renamed as BJAS or Barry John Acting Studio. Richa Chadda, Jacqueline Fernandez and Freida Pinto were the first few students in Mumbai.
